FLAIR Questions? Contact Laura Bercovitz |
Family LiteracyThe Adult Learning Resource Center (ALRC) provides family education training, consultations, and workshops as they relate to needs assessments, program development, curriculum and materials, teaching and methodologies, parent-child activities, and program evaluation.
The Provider Group is for all family literacy programs whether funded by the Illinois Community College Board, the Secretary of State, the Illinois State Board of Education (Even Start) or private foundations. The provider group meetings are designed for both experienced family literacy staff and those who "just started on Monday." In addition, attendees are administrators, adult educators, child educators, parent educators, librarians, and home visitors (to name a few)! The next meeting will be held in September 2010, at the Adult Learning Resource Center from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. An announcement will be sent to the Family Literacy Provider Group.Resources
This initiative provides
support and professional development to Even Start projects in the

is being used for local and statewide program improvement. For more information,
